Helen Look started from a small observation. Most people own several dresses and wear two of them. The others stay on the rail because the fit is not quite right, the fabric creases the moment you sit down, or the shape only works for one occasion that never comes round.
So we make the ones you reach for. Something you can put on for work, for a lunch, for an evening out, and not think about again once you have left the house.

Give you fewer dresses that you wear more. One that holds its shape through a long day, one that works with flats and with heels, one you are still glad to own in three years.
Our vision
We want Helen Look to be the name people pass on to a friend who says they need a good dress. Not the cheapest, not the loudest, the one that turned out to be worth it.
What we believe in
Fit before anything
A dress that pulls at the shoulder or sits wrong at the waist is a dress you will not wear. We start there, then worry about the rest.
Fabric that behaves
It has to fall well, keep its colour, and come out of a long day looking like it went in. Anything that creases if you look at it does not make the cut.
Quiet over loud
Shapes and colours that still look right in a few years. Nothing you will be embarrassed to be photographed in later.
Made to hold up
Seams that stay put, zips that still work next year, a hem that keeps its line. Buying the same thing twice is not a saving.
One dress, many days
We would rather sell you something you wear to the office on Thursday and to dinner on Saturday than something that only earns its keep once.
